ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi revealed on Tuesday that the government has done a primary milestone inside the established order of a separate South Punjab province.
Taking to Twitter, he said: “After years of war & willpower with the aid of humans of South Punjab, we have carried out a first-rate milestone in status quo of a separate South Punjab province. We, the @PTIofficial executive announce the posting of high-level bureaucrats to South Punjab for a fully practical secretariat.”

Qureshi said this achievement became a testament to the ruling PTI’s commitment to meet the promise it had made to the people of Pakistan. He congratulated the human beings of southern Punjab and thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his vision and help.

On July 2, FM Qureshi had said the additional chief secretary (ACS) and the extra inspector popular of police (AIG) have been appointed for the south Punjab secretariat. He said the 2 officials will establish their offices in Multan and Bahawalpur to cope with the problems of humans.

He said the sensible realization of the dream of south Punjab province has begun as humans of southern regions of the province will no longer have to tour to Lahore to get their administrative issues addressed.
