LAHORE: A meeting chaired by means of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar consider over the construction of small dams for water conservation, ARY News mentioned on Tuesday.
The leader minister approved for starting preliminary work on four small dams in Koh-e-Suleman for the conservation of the water of hill torrents.
Construction of small dams to conserve water is the need of time and the government of Punjab mulling over diverse alternatives for small dams schemes, Chief Minister Buzdar said.
“Hundreds of lots cusecs preceding water at hill torrents of Koh-e-Suleman is going in vain without utilization,” the chief minister said.
The building of small dams is important to conserve and well make use of the water, he similarly said.
Construction of small dams can even offer easy consuming water to the backward regions, he said.
“A technical take a look at has been initiated for creation of 4 small dams within the first segment,” Buzdar stated.
Earlier, provincial Secretary Irrigation briefed the chief minister about key topics with regard to the production of small dams.
